This museum is built especially for exhibiting the collection of glasses from the Morgantown, Seneca, Gentile Glass company and some othe glass factory in Morgantown West Virginia. Over 3,000 pieces manufactured from late 1892 -
1980.
The museum is owned and operated by a private collector Mr. Kurt Ly.
Kurt was born in Hanoi, Vietnam 1957 and lived in Hong Kong as a refugee for 14 months. He came to the United State in 1980 where he settled in Morgantown West Virginia and began working hard to save up money and embark upon
his vision of achieving the American dream. He opened the Peking House Restuarant in 1984. In 1980, following a visit of the Seneca Glass Company, Kurt became fascinated with
blown and hand cut glasses. He became a Seneca collector in 1985. In 1992 started collect Morgantown Glass and became a fastidious collector of the best and most unique
glasses made in Morgantown. After 10 years of collecting glasses he decided to have his owned museum to share his passion with others.
